Tour Plan:

Day 1: Welcome to Morocco! Arrival in Casablanca and first immersion in Moroccan culture

Welcome to Casablanca, Morocco! Our Morocco tour package begins upon our arrival at Casablanca airport where our private driver and local guide will warmly welcome us. We will then head to our accommodation located in the heart of Casablanca where we can settle into our spacious rooms. Then, those who wish can make a first immersion in the culture of Morocco by following our guides on a walking tour of some of the essentials of Casa , a sophisticated city that well represents modern Morocco!

Day 2: Guided tour of the spectacular Hassan II Mosque and arrival in Fez, imperial city and spiritual and artisanal capital of Morocco

Casablanca has several unmissable attractions, including the grandiose Hassan II mosque which we will visit in the morning, away from the crowds and with a guide. This mosque is a real architectural treasure that will amaze you! Our local guide will be happy to explain in detail the practices that take place at the mosque, as well as everything you want to know about this incredible monument!

We will then take the road to Fez, one of the imperial cities of Morocco which is considered to be the spiritual and artisanal capital of Morocco. After settling into our first riad , a type of accommodation typical of Morocco which has an undeniable charm, we will stroll through the streets of the old town to get to the heart of the action in one of its public squares . We have a nice surprise in store for you to get this organized trip to Morocco off to a good start!

Then, we can enjoy the terrace on the roof of our riad for an aperitif before dinner. Get ready to taste a feast of typical Moroccan dishes!

Day 3: Exploration of Fez and its medina (UNESCO): tannery, Koranic school, artisans' district, royal palace and much more!

Fez is one of the four imperial cities of Morocco and we will have the chance to discover it from top to bottom today with our local guide. We will discover the “souks”, each more lively than the last, the famous Chouara tanneries, some Koranic schools and the majestic royal palace which will immerse us in the history of the country!

Activities included: Guided tour of Fez with a local guide and entry to the different sites

Day 4: Visit to a troglodyte village, tea with locals and wine tasting in a vineyard in Meknes, imperial city

After a delicious lunch in Fez, we will take the road through the olive fields to visit an absolutely unique village. This village has troglodyte houses built directly into the rocks and a local family will invite us for tea there!

Then, we will take the road again to Meknes, another imperial city of Morocco which is also the region where we find the best vineyards in Morocco! Indeed, this city located at the foot of the Atlas Mountains benefits from optimal soil and climate for producing wine. We will therefore have the chance to taste it during a tasting accompanied by a delicious dinner.

We will then travel to Casablanca where we will spend the night again before continuing our adventures in Morocco.

Day 5: Discovery of Marrakech, Jemma El-Fna square and its unique medina in the world!

Today we will head to “the red city” of Morocco: Marrakech! An official city guide will accompany us in this imperial city that leaves no one indifferent. All our senses will be engaged in this visit which will introduce us to several sides of local life in Marrakech. Prepare to rub shoulders with tradition and modernity simultaneously in this very surprising city!

Those who want to can venture into the Jemma El-Fna Square in the evening, where the action is!

Accommodation in Marrakech: Traditional Dar

Day 6: Free morning in Marrakech, kasbah route and visit to a “secret” palace in a village surrounded by mountains

This morning, our departure will be around 10:30-11 a.m. from Marrakech, so you will have a little free time in the morning, for example to visit the pretty Majorelle Garden (optional activity, additional $) or return to the markets of the Marrakech medina.

We will then take the road into the High Atlas via the Tizi n'Tichka pass, a road which winds through grandiose landscapes and which indicate to us that we are getting closer to the desert. We will then take the Kasbahs route which means “fortress” to discover these historic monuments with their meticulous architecture. Notably, we will stop for dinner in a little-known town where there is a “secret” palace that we will show you with our local guide, all surrounded by the incredible mountains of the region! You will certainly like the tranquility of the place.

At the end of the day, we will land in Ouarzazate for the next 2 nights.

Day 7: Visit to the village of Aït Benhaddou (UNESCO) and free afternoon: traditional hammam, museums and other options available to you!

Being this morning on the road to the casbahs, a stop is essential at the most famous fortress in the area: Aït Benhaddou. This fortress is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as featured in numerous films, including Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator. We will visit it on foot, stopping at the small shops that the few residents who still live there have set up over the past few years.

In the afternoon, we will have free time and several optional activity options will be available to us. If you are interested in the experience of a traditional hammam, we know an excellent place to recommend where the treatments are remarkable and will do you the greatest good!

Accommodation in Ouarzazate: Traditional Dar

Day 8: Visit an underground city, a pottery cooperative in Tamegroute and overnight in a luxurious bivouac in the desert

Today we will take the road towards the “gates” of the desert. On the way, we will visit an underground city and a cooperative in Tamegroute where we will discover the local art of pottery made in the ancestral way. This will be the perfect opportunity to purchase Moroccan pottery as a souvenir!

Then, at the end of the day, we will finally arrive at one of the most impressive places in the WORLD: the Sahara Desert! We will settle into a first luxurious bivouac to spend a night worthy of the accounts of the Thousand and One Nights.

Day 9: Sahara Desert: Chegaga dunes and traditional Berber evening

To all those who dream of exploring the Sahara Desert, today is your lucky day! We will ride in a 4×4 vehicle (jeep style) through the sand dunes to get to our second bivouac in the middle of the desert. To make your desert adventure even more memorable, you can take a camel ride (free and included if desired)* or try sandboarding by riding down the dunes on a board. Then, we will meet at the top of the highest dune to witness a most memorable sunset!

We will all meet up in the evening around the fire under the stars, rocking to the sound of traditional Berber music and dancing together, if you feel like it!

*We ensure that our activities in contact with animals are always carried out in the most respectful and ethical way possible for the animal. The camels at our camp are free and supervised during the day, then in their large enclosure in the evening. Our local hosts take good care of it!

Activities included: 4×4 (jeep) in the desert towards the Chegaga dunes, camel ride (if desired)*, campfire and traditional music

Desert accommodation: Bivouac in the desert with shared showers and toilets

Day 10: Sunrise over the dunes, oasis in the desert, crossing a dry lake filled with fossils, then free afternoon by the swimming pool

A spectacular sunrise awaits us this morning directly from the sand dunes of our bivouac. We will be able to take advantage of the first light of the day to see the colors of the sand dunes change as the sun rises. Then, after a gourmet lunch, we will cross the dunes again in a 4x4 vehicle to get out of the desert.

On the way, we will cross an ancient, now dry lake (Lake Iriki) in which fossils dating back thousands of years can still be found. We will then arrive at a real oasis which represents a striking contrast to the arid desert all around! Then, we will arrive at Foum Zguid, a small village where we can enjoy a free afternoon to rest.

Activities included:  Sunrise over the dunes, 4×4 (jeep) in the desert to cross the dry Iriki lake filled with fossils and discovery of an oasis

Day 11: Tazenakht and its traditional carpets, visit to an “oasis town” and arrival at the seaside in Agadir

On the way to the Atlantic coast, we will cross the Anti-Atlas, a region punctuated by valleys and oases. We will stop at Tazenakht, where local artisans specialize in making brightly colored rugs. A little further, we  will have the chance to discover an “oasis city” during a guided tour of it. Our local guide will be happy to explain to us how this oasis is used communally for growing different foods.

Finally, we will end the day in Agadir, a pretty seaside resort located by the sea and which has a quiet and rejuvenating atmosphere.

Day 12: Hiking and swimming in Paradise Valley and free afternoon

This morning is dedicated to visiting the Valley of Paradise – and the name doesn’t lie! Discover this gorge crowded with palm trees and waterfalls with turquoise water that invite you to swim (and take photos)!

Our local guide from a small village located in the heart of the valley will guide us on an easy to moderate level trail which will pass through fields cultivated by the locals, as well as through gorges with small turquoise lakes.

Then, in the afternoon, we will have free time to rest in Agadir or to explore small coastal villages, particularly known for surfing! Those who wish can rent a board and have fun in the waves, or simply relax on the beach.

Day 13: Argan cooperative and oriental pastry class with a local chef in Essaouira

This morning, the road to Essaouira will take us through the argan region of Morocco. We will first stop at a cooperative run and operated entirely by women to learn more about this nut considered to be “the gold of Morocco”!

Then, we will go to Essaouira, a well-preserved coastal town where calm reigns and which will make you want to stroll through its charming medina. In the afternoon, we will have the chance to indulge our sweet tooth while discovering the secrets of Moroccan cuisine during an oriental pastry class. Savor the fruits of your labor with a good mint tea before setting off to explore the Medina of Essaouira in the evening.

Day 14: Free day in Essaouira, by the sea

Take the time today to discover this quiet town that will allow you to slow down and absorb the adventures of the past few days. You will have the opportunity to visit its impressive fish market, its fortresses, its large public square and even its magnificent long beach.

At the end of the day, those who wish can join together for one last supper together in a warm atmosphere in a local restaurant.
